We like creating animations of mechanical movements. This simple “Wobbler” type engine was designed to demonstrate a few of the animation capabilities in SolidWorks.
However this is not just a simple model, it has been created with much more in mind than a simple animation.
We have designed every part so that it can be machined using conventional or CNC machine tools. But that is not all, we have added lubrication way, retained bronze bearings, and much much more.
This design could be manufactured and there is no reason why the finished product would not work exactly as intended.
We plan to add some more animations and also create a full set of engineering drawings at some point in the future.
